Online English language test now available
We understand how difficult it has been for your students to access English language testing centres during this challenging time. As a result, we're pleased to announce that Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is now offering a free online English language test to all offer holders, called Kaplan International Tools for English (KITE).
If your student requires an English language test for admission to one of our pre-sessional English courses or one of our degree programmes, you can find out more below.
What's involved in the KITE test?
Students are required to complete five sections in total: listening, reading, grammar, writing and speaking.
Tests can be completed online, at home, from any country in the world.
Students are required to have a stable internet connection, a webcam, and a microphone. The test will be monitored by an external proctoring website called Proctortrack to ensure test security.
How long does it take to get the results?
Results from the listening, reading and grammar sections of the test are instantly available on completion of the test. The final scores, including results from the writing and speaking sections, should be available within two working days.
Please note, this test is for applicants who are holding offers with NTU, or will be applying to join us in September 2020. The KITE test certificate will only be issued to students once their offer at NTU is unconditional.
You can find further information, including how to take a practice test, on the KITE website.
